I thought it would be something different if we were make a list of birds that make great pumpers for other birds such as shortface breeds.
Here's a few I've tried
Homers Rollers Flying Flights Archangles Italian Owls Czeck Ice Pouters Homer/Roller Crosses

What is a pumper? I'm not too learned in my pigeon terminology.

Ok lets say you wanted to produce more of your chinese owls, or you had a shot faced breed, which the parent's can't feed their own babies because their beaks are too short. You would use another breed, like the ones mentioned in the first post to pump, or foster out the eggs to. So if you were using chinese owls, and you were using homers for pumpers you would pair them up so they would lay eggs around the same time. Then you'd throw away the homer eggs and put the chinese owl eggs under the homers. This way you will get 4 pair in less time because the homers will be raising a pair and then the chinese will lay another clutch in about 10 days.

ah, OK i SEE NOW. vERY INTERESTING. i KNEW THAT SOME PEOPLE FOSTER EGGS TO OTHER PAIRS, BUT i NEVER KNEW THOSE pairs were called pumpers. Agh, stupid caps lock. I don't feel like fixing it.

Well now I have some pumpers thanks to NT! I will have to try them out. Hopefully my budapest will lay eggs when the homers are setting.
What should I do with the Budapest? Will they get depressed or stressed out that I have taken the eggs away?

You can just switch eggs. If you give the buda eggs to the homers they will raise them and the buda's should be able to feed the homers because the homer has a longer beak then the buda's.

oh ok. I didn't know if they would be able to feed any young at all. I'll do that, then maybe I could do pigeon releases at weddings. Actually, I rather like the white birds. It seems like I have so many of them! They are just more...delicate looking I guess. (For lack of a better word)

You should be able to do that. Some birds just have such shorter beaks they can't feed anything. But I'm pretty sure you'll be able to do it with the buda's. It will be better if you could because after you take their eggs and give them to the homers 10 days later they will lay more eggs, and she'll get laid out. So it will be better if she could raise something instead.
