I went to the pet store yesterday to buy some mineral blocks for my birds and they had a pair of society finches. I was only in the place one other time and the owner, was working there. I asked this other guy who was the only guy in the store if he knew if they were male and female and he said yes and that they had babies recentally but this other person who was working had problems with the heat or something and it got too cold and they died. So I told him I would take them next weekend and I put down a down payment. They also had one normal green and one blue quaker. I love the blue quakers and I want to get a pair, but I don't have room for a cage big enough for them as of right now. They also had some other kind of conure and a small cockatoo. The last time I was in I swore they had some ringneck parakeets and I know they had some white faced cockatiels but I don't know where they were. They had some empty cages so who knows.
They also had some parakeets and another guy was coming in and he wanted to put down a down payment on a parakeet to be picked up next week as well. I noticed a all yellow female but I couldn't tell if she was a lutino or not. The lighting was that great so I dunno if she had red eyes or not. I'm thinking about picking her up as well, but I don't need females I need 2-3 males.
Then as I was walking out the door I noticed they had another pair of society finches. I didn't get a good look at them because another cage was ontop of theirs and they were in the nest. The ones I'm getting are brown and buff pied. I'll have to take a look at this second pair next weekend.
