yeah, mak sure to ask lots of questions like what weapon theyre best faught in, what there fighting style is... if they can answer that then chances are their birds are jjunk.

You definitely have to have some money to invest in good fighting birds, unless you have the time to make them yourself through breeding. The guy I worked for spent thousands of dollars on coops and pens and workers just to keep his fighters. He has some good ones too. If you don't have good facilities and the required medicine and stuff the birds will injure the others by trying to either fight or they will not fight well enough because they are weak.
The guy I worked for often offered to give me some of his fighters to raise, but it just seemed like so much work. I just didn't want to have the responsibility of such a dangerous chicken (towards my other cockerals). I know a lot of the birds are real sweeties towards people though. I just don't have enough time for these types of high maintenance birds with school right now.
